Paddington, the beloved bear, finds a loving home with the Brown family in Windsor Gardens. He quickly becomes a cherished member, enjoying the warmth and support of his adoptive parents and siblings.

To celebrate Aunt Lucy's milestone birthday, Paddington decides to buy her a special pop-up book of London. The book has tremendous sentimental value as Aunt Lucy raised him and dreamed of visiting London herself.

In order to save money for the pop-up book, Paddington takes on various odd jobs around the community. His excitement soon turns to despair when he discovers that the precious book has been stolen.

After witnessing the theft of the book, Paddington pursues the thief but is caught and framed for the crime. Despite the Browns’ and Mr. Gruber's disbelief, Paddington is wrongfully convicted due to insufficient evidence.

As the story unfolds, the true culprit is revealed to be Phoenix Buchanan, a self-absorbed actor with an obsession for the stolen book. His nefarious plans are connected to the book’s hidden treasures.

While in prison, Paddington discovers camaraderie among fellow inmates, including the grumpy chef Nuckles. Paddington shares his famous marmalade sandwich recipe, brightening the dreary life behind bars.

The Browns tirelessly work to clear Paddington's name, creating sketches to identify the real thief. Their journey leads them to consult a fortune teller, who reveals the book's link to a hidden fortune.

The Browns conduct a covert operation in Buchanan's house, discovering an attic filled with costumes and the stolen pop-up book. Their investigation gets interrupted when Buchanan unexpectedly returns home.

Feeling lonely after missing a visit from the Browns, Paddington devises an escape plan with Nuckles and the other inmates. However, when he needs them most, they abandon him in search of their own freedom.

Post-rescue, Paddington finds himself in a brief coma but awakens just in time for Aunt Lucy's birthday celebration. His heart swells with joy upon learning the community arranged a surprise visit to London for her.
