Pacific Rim: Uprising

Ten years after the climactic Battle of the Breach, Jake Pentecost struggles to survive in the dark underbelly of Los Angeles. While most of the world has recovered from the Kaiju attacks, he juggles a life of theft and trading Jaeger parts to make ends meet.

Jake sets out to deliver a promised power core, only to discover that it has already been stolen. This leads him to meet Amara Namani, a fifteen-year-old Jaeger enthusiast who is constructing her own model, Scrapper.

After a confrontation involving the Jaeger November Ajax, Jake and Amara are arrested by the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps. Their unlawful activities catch up to them, placing them under the watchful eyes of the PPDC.

General Secretary Mako Mori offers Jake a choice: face prison time or return to the PPDC as an instructor. Accepting the offer, he is tasked with mentoring Amara in the hopes of redeeming his past.

Jake arrives at a Shatterdome in China, where he begins training cadets, including Amara. He reunites with his estranged co-pilot Nate Lambert as they work to prepare new pilots for impending threats.

Hermann Gottlieb raises concerns regarding Jaeger response times in battle. He proposes utilizing Kaiju blood to enhance Jaeger speed, a suggestion met with skepticism from his colleagues, showing the division within the PPDC.

As training continues, Jake and Nate find themselves vying for the affection of cadet Jules Reyes. The relationships within the cadet group grow more complicated, showcasing the personal stakes amidst their training.

Before a pivotal council meeting in Sydney, Mako is killed by the rogue Jaeger Obsidian Fury. This sends shockwaves through the PPDC, leading to a rapid decision to expedite drone deployments worldwide.

Following Mako's death, Jake and Nate pilot Gypsy Avenger against Obsidian Fury. They discover the rogue Jaeger is controlled by a Kaiju’s secondary brain, intensifying the battle and increasing the stakes for humanity.

In a drastic turn of events, newly deployed drones become sabotaged and taken over by cloned Kaiju brains. This results in a global assault on the Shatterdomes, causing severe losses for the PPDC and heightening the threat level.

Hermann discovers that Geiszler is manipulating the chaos, under the influence of alien Precursors. As Mega Kaiju begin emerging to threaten humanity, the PPDC scrambles to prepare for the impending doom.

The PPDC crew takes desperate measures to upgrade four remaining Jaegers with Kaiju-blood-powered rockets. They resolve to confront the Mega Kaiju, hoping to turn the tide against the looming threat.

In an epic confrontation, Jake and Amara pilot Gypsy Avenger into intense combat against the Mega Kaiju. Their bravery and strategic maneuvering culminate in a daring fight that showcases their resolve to protect humanity.

Despite their triumph over the Mega Kaiju, the team suffers devastating losses. The captured Precursor Emissary ominously warns of more relentless attacks, solidifying the reality that the fight for survival is far from over.

Jake confidently states that humanity will reclaim its agency and retaliate the next time they are faced with the Kaiju threat. His resolve echoes a strong message of hope and determination to fight back.
