Gopika Varma, an NRI, travels back to India to conduct the last rites for her parents who were killed during a theft. Her return triggers threats as Antony tails her and a local gang plots to abduct her at the airport. The journey sets the stage for a dangerous pursuit that drives the early part of the story.

Antony follows Gopika to India and a gang at the airport tries to kidnap her to steal her possessions. The security situation spirals as both threats converge on her arrival. She narrowly escapes, triggering a larger chase that pulls Venu into the danger.

On the road, Gopika mistakes Venu for the gang leader and escapes in his taxi. In the ensuing chaos, her parents' ashes are taken along, as Venu becomes entangled in keeping her safe. The gang's pursuit continues as Venu is pulled into the conflict.

Venu is framed for kidnapping by a police plan, and Gopika is renamed Indhu and placed under police protection. The protective custody separates her from the immediate danger while Venu becomes a wanted man. The stage is set for a larger confrontation between factions.

Antony and the gang decide to join forces, pooling their resources to pursue Gopika and exploit the situation for their own ends. The collaboration strengthens the threat against Gopika and widens the manhunt. Venu remains a key target as both sides close in.

Venu evades police and the gang while attempting to deliver the ashes of Gopika's parents to India and expose the truth. His ally Velayudhan is arrested, hampering his plan and increasing the stakes. He keeps pushing forward despite the danger.

While on the run, Venu accidentally joins a drama troupe and, after applying an old man's makeup, adopts the alter ego Colonel Nair. This disguise allows him to approach Gopika's residence without arousing suspicion. He uses the persona to navigate danger and get closer to her.

As Colonel Nair, he grows close to Gopika and convinces her of his innocence, shielding her from threats. He defeats the gang's attempts to capture her and succeeds in returning the ashes through Velayudhan. The bond between them deepens under the disguise.

Antony assaults Gopika at her residence; Venu, still in disguise, intervenes and captures Antony. Gopika is rushed to a hospital where a nun is admitted, marking a turning point in their intertwined fates. The danger intensifies, but their connection grows stronger.

Gopika and Venu confront DIG Chandrashekar to reveal the truth of the misdirection and framing. During the confrontation, Venu is captured by the authorities, heightening Gopika's urgency and anger. The pursuit resumes with renewed determination.

Venu and Velayudhan escape and kidnap Gopika to exchange her for money with the gang. The police are informed, but the exchange proceeds amid the chaos. Venu saves Gopika at the last moment, wearing the Colonel Nair costume.

In a climactic moment at a lake, Gopika pretends to attempt suicide to test Venu's dedication. Venu dives in to save her, losing his makeup in the process and revealing his true identity as Venu. Gopika has known his real identity for a long time, and their bond is solidified.

The Colonel Nair costume sinks beneath the water as police believe a good man may be dead. Venu and Gopika share a relieved laugh, signaling their reconciliation and new partnership after the chaos. The final image centers on their unity rather than the disguise.
