Umesh Manohar, a 21-year-old engineering student with 42 backlogs, decides to chase fame by making a short film. He enlists his friend Shaji, but the project flops and the camera is lost in an accident, marking the first major obstacle to his dream. The setback pushes him toward reconsidering his path in life.

His father orders him to help run the family shop, highlighting a bleak future if he pursues cinema. To escape the pressure, he catches the next train to Chennai from Thalassery, hoping for a fresh start in film. The journey marks the start of his chaotic pursuit of fame.

On the train to Chennai, Umesh spots his neighbour Daisy and tries to woo her throughout the journey. He lies to his friends that they are having an affair and coerces her into posing for a selfie that he sends to Shaji. The selfie triggers misunderstandings that will follow him back home.

After six days in Chennai, Umesh realizes the film industry’s grind isn’t for him. He returns to Thalassery defeated, and the town erupts with gossip about his supposed elopement with Daisy. The entire episode foreshadows the trouble set in motion by the selfie.

He returns to Chennai with Shaji to clear his name and find Daisy. They encounter a private detective named Jack Tracker, who has been tracing the online fraud. The meeting sets the stage for a wider investigation beyond Umesh’s personal troubles.

Jack Tracker discloses that he is actually a CBCID officer named Nivin, working to uncover the brains behind the online money fraud. He explains that his pursuit isn’t about Umesh’s romance but about dismantling the larger scam. He also says the internet persona’s real aim is to deceive young women and steal their money.

Daisy confesses that she loves Hari and wants to marry him. She explains they communicated through social media and email but had never met in person, adding a layer of mystery. Hari’s backstory becomes central to the looming fraud.

The group travels with Jack to Hari’s hometown, Pazhani, to uncover the truth behind Hari’s life. A local Keralite farmer helps them reach Hari’s house, guiding their investigation. The journey uncovers more about Hari and the people connected to him.

It’s revealed that Hari committed suicide a year earlier after being cheated by his business partner, John Mathew Bhaskar. John then used Hari’s online accounts to cheat others, forming the core of the online scam. The revelation links Hari’s fate to the ongoing fraud.

Jack explains that the case targets the brains behind the online fraud, not just the romantic chase. The true intention of the online persona is to cheat young women and steal their money, revealing a wider conspiracy behind the incidents. The group comes to terms with the scale of the crime.

After the events, Umesh returns to Kerala and then meets Nivin again at a resort a few months later. Nivin informs him that the cybercell group has identified the real culprit as John. The revelation shifts the focus from personal drama to justice.

Nivin informs Umesh that the real culprit is John, setting up a final confrontation. In a charged moment at the resort, Umesh smashes a bottle over John’s head, and he then walks toward a nearby table to ask if the man there is John, signaling the climactic end of the chase.
