Shekhara Menon, a retired income tax officer, settles in a remote village in Kerala with his family, leading a calm and happy life. He owns land and a house where his three daughters and elderly father reside. Additionally, he rents out a smaller adjacent house for extra income.

Menon’s pension from his service gets unexpectedly blocked due to unclear issues, causing concern for his family. This financial trouble adds to the uncertainty surrounding his whereabouts and the stability of their life.

Hareendran, a struggling small-time contractor, moves into the rented house, initially helping others due to influence from his aide Balachandran. His character becomes more selfish over time due to the troubles he faces and the misuse of help he receives.

Menon disappears mysteriously, leaving behind his daughters and father in the house. Hareendran quickly decides to vacate the house to avoid further trouble, despite his outside selfishness turning into concern for the girls.

Although he is selfish externally, Hareendran is moved by the hardships faced by Menon’s daughters and steps up to help them. This marks a pivotal change in his character as he takes responsibility for their welfare.

Menon’s elderly father, grieving over his missing son, begins doubting Menon’s survival and eventually dies from the anguish. This loss deeply affects the family’s emotional state.

Hareendran approaches the District Collector and police, leading SI Mathew Varghese to find that Menon traveled to Mumbai based on a train ticket. Hameed, who traveled with Menon, confirms this nearby station records.

Hareendran consults his suspended friend Sachi, who deduces that Menon is unlikely to have gone missing voluntarily and is probably dead. They investigate further, suspecting foul play.

Mumbai railway records show Menon had a reservation but never boarded the train, marking him as a ‘no show’. Hareendran and Sachi intensify their investigation, suspecting foul play involving Hameed.

They interrogate Hameed vigorously, even resorting to physical force, but he refuses to reveal the truth. Before losing consciousness, he mentions the name KRK, hinting at a connection to Menon’s disappearance.

Kare Kuttikrishnan (KRK), a wealthy and notorious businessman, is identified as the person implicated in Menon’s case. Hareendran and Sachi visit KRK’s office, where Hareendran learns that KRK is actually Kunjachan, Menon’s former subordinate.

KRK, once a corrupt income tax officer, was imprisoned for his fraudulent activities, which humiliated Menon’s family and led to broken alliances. His obsession with revenge and wealth grows as he seeks to eliminate Menon’s influence.

KRK confronts Menon and kills him after a heated struggle related to his scheme to block Menon’s daughter’s wedding and confiscate his pension fund. He then falsely books a train ticket in Menon’s name to cover up the crime.

KRK gets imprisoned for his crimes. Sachi rejoins the police force, and Hareendran remains the sole support for Menon’s daughters, highlighting his transformation into their protector amidst ongoing challenges.
