Naruto Shippuden the Movie

The film opens with a prophecy that Naruto will die in battle against a monster. A funeral for Naruto is held in his home village, and villagers mourn his fate. Tsunade gazes out a window, wondering whether fate truly governs everything.

A few days earlier, Yomi attacks a shrine to seize the spirit of Mōryō, hoping to conquer the world. He offers his own body temporarily and assigns four subordinates to eliminate Shion. The subordinates are equipped with special chakra creatures to bolster their strength.

To counter the threat, the Land of Fire deploys several advance teams to stall the stone army. Naruto, Sakura, Rock Lee, and Neji Hyuga are tasked with guarding Shion and escorting her toward the shrine that houses Mōryō's body. The mission sets the stage for the ensuing confrontation on the road ahead.

The team fends off Shion's four would-be assassins. Shion prophesies Naruto's upcoming death, fueling tension and distrust between her and Naruto. He becomes frustrated by the idea that fate might determine his life.

As they press toward the shrine, the group is ambushed and Shion appears to be killed. It is revealed that the dead 'Shion' is a decoy, Taruho, using the Shadow Mirror Body Transfer Jutsu. The real Shion's fate remains uncertain, heightening the tension.

With the decoy revealed, Neji tells Naruto to escort Shion to the temple alone. Shion explains that her predictions rely on others' lives to protect her own, complicating Naruto's view of fate. Naruto vows to survive and keep Shion safe, despite the danger.

Sakura, Lee, and Neji defeat the remaining assassins and reach the mountain temple where Mōryō's body is kept. Naruto holds back the stone army to give Shion time to seal, and Shion heads inside to begin the ritual. The tension builds as the sealing nears its completion.

Inside the barrier, Yomi tricks Shion into starting the sealing while he sits within it, allowing Mōryō's spirit to reunite with his body. The stone army surges back, threatening Naruto and his allies. Kakashi and the others move to respond to the renewed threat.

Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy, Shikamaru Nara, and Temari join the effort to destroy the stone army. Naruto arrives to rescue Shion from the collapsing danger. The immediate threat is neutralized, enabling the final confrontation to unfold.

Shion activates her power to alter Naruto's fate, intending to kill herself and Mōryō to save him. Naruto stops her just in time, and then combines Shion's chakra with his own to create the Rasengan. This marks a turning point where love, sacrifice, and destiny collide.

Naruto drives the Rasengan into Mōryō, obliterating the demon and ending his threat. The world is spared from immediate demonic conquest, though the victory comes at a personal cost. The moment cements Naruto's growth and resolve in the face of prophecy.

In the final scene, Shion explains that Mōryō arose from mankind's dark thoughts and that new demons may appear someday. She suggests continuing the line of priestesses to hold such powers in check, hinting at a future partnership with Naruto. Naruto, somewhat clueless, agrees to help, setting up unresolved questions about their relationship.
