My Life in Ruins

Georgia, a dedicated tour guide in Greece, confronts a harsh reality as she realizes her passion for teaching is waning. Under pressure from her boss, Maria, she learns that her performances are being critiqued, leaving her feeling inadequate and defeated.

While leading her group through the picturesque Greek landscapes, Georgia notices that her tourists are more interested in souvenirs than the rich culture. Feeling envious of a colleague’s engaged group, her frustrations mount as she struggles to connect with her own tourists.

Georgia's situation worsens when she is assigned Poupi as her driver. Distracted by his phone, Poupi fails to appreciate the breathtaking sights, leading Georgia to feel even more neglected and disrespected in her role.

Amid her struggles, Georgia meets Irv Gideon, an elderly traveler whose insights help her see the tourists differently. Through Irv's wisdom, she begins to reconnect with her purpose by recognizing that each tourist has their own unique story.

Maria demonstrates her support for Georgia by improving the group's accommodations, which happen to be near Nico's team. This sparks tensions, as Georgia's group plots to sabotage Nico's tour bus by stealing its air conditioning unit.

The tour takes a serious turn when Irv suddenly falls ill, forcing Georgia to prioritize his health. Trusting Poupi, she continues with the tour and leads her group through the iconic Parthenon, sharing her love for the ancient site.

Georgia's group decides to visit Irv in the hospital as a gesture of appreciation, but their kind intentions are met with anger from Nico. He confronts Georgia, expressing outrage over the loss of his air conditioning and accusing her of betrayal.
