At Monstermash Park, the skeletal dog Yorick is voiced by [Phil Trainer], and [French Tickner] Drac, [David Sobolov] Frank, and [Scott McNeil] Wolf were once the scariest monsters around, inspiring monsters everywhere by striking fear into the local mortals. As years pass, their ability to scare fades, and they become associated with fun, revealing that they still have hearts—evident when [David Sobolov] Frank refuses to frighten a little girl during one of their nightly activities.
When their frightful reputation draws attention, the trio are summoned to appear before the Superior Court of Horrors, where the Grim Reaper Prosecutor is voiced by [Jim Byrnes] and the Skeleton Judge is played by [Phil Hayes]. A mummy defense attorney calmly argues the case, while the dentist Dr. Decay testifies about Drac losing his fangs and wearing false teeth, followed by testimony from the monster hair loss specialist Dr. Grogaine about Wolf’s bald spots. As the Prosecutor’s final exhibit, a human baby is brought in; Wolf bungles the attempt to scare it, and Frank reveals a soft spot. With the jury deadlocked, the Judge rules a hung verdict and declares that Drac, Wolf, and Frank must prove they can still be scary within 24 hours or be expelled from the Ghoul Guild. The Judge assigns them to scare the suburban Tinklemeister family—Mr. Tinklemeister, Mrs. Tinklemeister, Stella Tinklemeister, and Spike Tinklemeister—before the deadline.
To fulfill their challenge, Drac, Wolf, and Frank travel to Transylvania with the Tinklemeister clan in tow. The Prosecutor unleashes three modern monsters to push them to fail: Freddie de Spaghetti (King of Carbohydrates), Chicky (the Doll of Destruction), and the Alien Eater, hoping the trio will falter. The Tinklemeisters watch the action on a nearby screen as the monsters target the family’s nerves. In a lab, Stella spins Drac enough to reveal his fangs, while Spike pours a formula to counter Wolf’s gray hairs, and Mr. Tinklemeister applies a special shampoo to restore Wolf’s hair. With these adjustments, Drac, Wolf, and Frank manage to scare Freddie, Chicky, and the Alien Eater, forcing the intruders to retreat.
Back in the courtroom, the Prosecutor contends that the trio failed, but the Tinklemeisters’ televised perspective convinces the Judge otherwise. The surprise witness Spike finally speaks for the first time, explaining that the monsters from horror comics once scared him, but their encounter showed him that real monsters can exist and still be brave. Spike’s testimony, along with a decisive loophole—Loophole #381B—moves the Judge to reinstate Drac, Wolf, and Frank into the Ghoul Guild for eternity.
In the present, Yorick notes that Drac, Wolf, and Frank have been inducted into the Monster Hall of Fame, and that their courage continues to live in the hearts of the Tinklemeister family. They celebrate by opening an amusement park on the castle grounds, where visitors ride a roller coaster that dodges Freddie’s attacks, toss tomatoes at the Alien Eater, and tune into channels where Chicky appears. The public is reminded that the trio’s legacy endures: they remain a source of genuine fright, as well as a lasting, comforting presence for those who once doubted them, a reminder that monsters can scare and warm at the same time.
