Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning

IMF agents Ethan Hunt and Grace are initially pursuing Gabriel, who works for the Entity artificial intelligence. However, Gabriel manages to capture them and coerces Hunt into a dangerous mission.

Gabriel demands that Ethan Hunt retrieve the core module known as the 'Rabbit's Foot' from the sunken Russian submarine Sevastopol. This module would give him control over the Entity's source code, posing a significant threat to global security.

Ethan and Grace escape with the help of IMF agents Benji Dunn and new recruits Paris and Theo Degas. Together, the team discovers a communication device used by Gabriel to connect with the Entity, which reveals chilling visions of an impending nuclear apocalypse.

Ethan realizes that the Entity requires access to a secure digital bunker in South Africa for its survival. This revelation sets the stage for their next critical move against the threats posed by Gabriel and the Entity.

Hunt rejoins his ally, Luther Stickell, to disarm a nuclear device that Gabriel has hidden in London. Stickell, who has developed malware known as the Poison Pill, sacrifices himself to stop the bomb, showcasing the stakes at play.

After the devastating events in London, Hunt surrenders to U.S. President Erika Sloane. She expresses the urgent need for cooperation against the Entity's rising influence over global nuclear systems, granting Hunt autonomy to locate the Sevastopol.

The team travels to St. Matthew Island, where they locate former CIA analyst William Donloe, who remembers the Sevastopol's coordinates. With Russian special forces on their tail, Grace and Donloe's wife Tapeesa hold off attackers while Donloe shares the vital information.

Hunt boards the USS George H. W. Bush to dive to the Sevastopol wreck. He retrieves the core module but triggers the wreck to slide down the shelf, risking his life as he struggles to escape the sinking debris.

Hunt struggles to ascend and suffers from decompression sickness. He is saved by Grace and Tapeesa, who use a makeshift decompression chamber to revive him, demonstrating their resourcefulness under pressure.

Reunited with his team, Hunt reveals his plan to use the Poison Pill to isolate the Entity on a physical drive. This strategy aims to trap the AI away from the internet and prevent its malevolent influence.

Upon arriving at the South African bunker, the team finds it abandoned except for Gabriel and his accomplices. In a tense confrontation, Gabriel activates a second nuclear device with a countdown, setting off a fierce battle as Hunt makes a fateful decision.

In the chaos, Paris performs emergency surgery on a critically injured Benji while the rest of the team works frantically to reboot the bunker systems. Their teamwork is put to the ultimate test as they fight against time and desperation.

Hunt engages in an aerial pursuit of Gabriel, racing in a biplane. The tension escalates as Hunt confronts Gabriel mid-air, resulting in Gabriel's demise when he attempts to escape but meets a fatal end.

After retrieving the Poison Pill, Hunt combines it with the core module to allow Grace to finish the upload of the Entity. The moment is tense, culminating in a resolution that ensures the Entity is now isolated and harmless.

The IMF team gathers in London, where Grace hands over the isolated Entity now safely stored on a drive. The team reflects on their struggles and sacrifices, ultimately going their separate ways with a sense of achievement.
