Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Lord Zedd’s Monster Heads

The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers join Bulk and Skull for a charity skydiving event in Angel Grove, aimed at supporting the observatory ahead of Ryan's Comet. The fundraising jump happens two days before the comet's pass, heightening the town's sense of impending change. The event sets a heroic tone for what follows.

Bulk and Skull miss the target landing zone and crash at a construction site where a giant purple egg has been unearthed. The egg radiates a mysterious energy, hinting at a danger buried beneath Angel Grove that will soon demand the Rangers' intervention. The discovery attracts Zordon's attention and sets the plot in motion.

Zordon explains Ivan Ooze, a former ruler who was sealed away 6,000 years ago, and warns the Rangers of the looming threat. He commands the team to retrieve the egg and return it to its chamber before it is opened. This warning marks the official start of the mission.

The egg is cracked open at the construction site, releasing Ivan Ooze. He unleashes Oozemen on the Rangers, who fight valiantly, but the distraction lets Ivan escape and he robs the Rangers of their powers.

The Rangers return to a now-destroyed Command Center to find Zordon aging and dying outside his time warp. With their powers gone, they are left vulnerable to Ivan's plan. Alpha 5 proposes using the remaining power to embark on a perilous journey to save Zordon.

Alpha 5 proposes sending the Rangers on a dangerous quest to the planet Phaedos to seek the Great Power and restore Zordon's hope. The Rangers accept, knowing it may be their only path to salvation.

On the Moon, Rita scolds Ivan for letting the Rangers escape, but Ivan overpowers her and Zedd, shrinking them in a snow globe and taking control of Goldar and Mordant. He dispatches Tengu warriors to Phaedos and begins building his army for Earth’s conquest.

Ivan uses his ooze to push the parents of Angel Grove into obedience, forcing them to dig up his Ecto-Morphicons. The plan hinges on hypnotizing adults while Fred Kelman and the kids strive to hold out against the manipulation. The children rally to stop the exploitation.

The Rangers arrive on Phaedos and are almost killed by the Tengu, but Dulcea, the planet's Master Warrior, arrives to save them. She initially tells them to return to safety, but after learning Zordon's plight, she agrees to help and guides them toward an ancient temple.

Dulcea awakens each Ranger's animal spirit—bear, ape, wolf, crane, frog and falcon—granting them new power. She hints she would begin to age if she leaves the temple, so she shapeshifts into an owl to preserve her age.

The Rangers navigate the temple and defeat a live fossilized dinosaur skeleton and four Stone Gargoyle guardians to reach the Monolith housing the Great Power. They retrieve the Great Power, restoring their Ranger suits and powers to their Ninjetti-enhanced forms.

Back on Earth, Ivan’s Ecto-Morphicons threaten Angel Grove while the kids rescue the parents with help from Fred, Bulk and Skull. The Rangers arrive with their new Ninja Zords and destroy Scorpitron, then Hornitor, using the Ninja Megazord and Ninja Mega Falconzord. They lure Ivan into space, guiding him toward Ryan's Comet, which destroys him; the Great Power is used to restore the Command Center and resurrect Zordon, and Angel Grove celebrates.
