Seeking an escape, Nick takes a nap, but fate intervenes dramatically. A lab technician’s blunder creates an unexpected turn of events, making the entire building—and Nick—disappear from sight.

As havoc unfolds, CIA operative David Jenkins seizes this remarkable opportunity. His pursuit begins, forcing Nick to leap into a river to escape and ultimately leading him to a local video store. Reluctantly, Jenkins accepts the risky terms.

As the fateful moment approaches for the exchange, Jenkins places his henchmen around a phone booth, mistakenly believing it to be Nick’s hideout. However, in a clever twist, George dons Nick’s clothing to mislead them. Meanwhile, Nick transforms himself into a cab driver, successfully whisking Alice away from Jenkins’ line of sight, catalyzing a breathless chase through city streets.

The pursuit climaxes at a construction site, where Nick’s outline becomes eerily visible against the concrete dust. Utilizing George’s jacket dusted with debris, Nick concocts a ruse that renders him as desperate as possible, tricking Jenkins into thinking Nick is on the verge of a fatal jump.
