Maathan, an orphan thug, participates in an undercover deal on behalf of his boss who is distracted by his daughter's schooling. He convinces his group that the boss is backing out due to the risk, creating tension within the gang. The deal proceeds toward a hotel rendezvous, setting the stage for a dangerous sting.

Three officers disguised as civilians storm the hotel rooms and shoot the three accompanying gang members. Maathan hides in the bathtub, trying to stay hidden as the chaos unfolds. In the confusion, he accidentally kills one of the officers, forcing him to escape.

After the deadly confrontation, Maathan makes his way to Kochi. He moves in with his ex-boss and longtime friend Shaji, seeking shelter and a new plan. The fragile alliance with Shaji gives him a temporary base while authorities close in.

Maathan reveals to Aparna his plan to settle abroad using the loot. He hopes to start fresh with her by his side, escaping to a new life overseas. Aparna, torn between love and distrust, refuses to abandon her career and independence.

Aparna continues to build her career as an actress and party anchor, while Sameera—her ex-roommate and a successful actress—offers assistance. Sameera's presence provides a glimmer of opportunity amid Maathan's looming plans. The trio's dynamic highlights the tension between loyalty and ambition.

Maathan's boss is taken into custody and reveals details about Maathan's involvement in the deal. He asks the officers to kill him and keep the looted money for themselves. The police intensify their pursuit of Maathan based on this confession.

The police track a lead to a mall in Kochi, where an officer pretends to be Maathan's classmate to question visitors. Aparna denies knowing Maathan, while Maathan overhears the exchange and realizes the net is closing in. The encounter foreshadows a confrontation that could end him.

Shaji tells Maathan to leave his home, pushing him toward a more dangerous life on the run. The pressure of the investigation strains Maathan and Aparna's fragile relationship. This demand accelerates the shift toward a final, irreversible separation.

Maathan arranges to meet Aparna at Sameera's apartment for a final word. Aparna remains firm about her future and refuses to return to the illicit life. The meeting marks a turning point as both confront their uncertain future.

Aparna is questioned by the police at a diner and admits she has been in touch with Maathan. The revelation ties her to the ongoing chase and puts her at risk. Maathan is summoned and tries to reason with the officers, but they plan to kill him instead of taking him to court.

Maathan is taken to a forest for interrogation; the officer deceives him about Aparna's supposed plot. Maathan maintains that Aparna did the right thing and proclaims his love for her. He is ultimately shot by one of the officers and dies.

Some time in the future, Aparna is shown pursuing her acting career, having her first shot as an actress while waiting for her debut film. She remains hopeful that Maathan will return, continuing to live with the memory of their connection.
