Mary Poppins Returns

In 1935 London, Michael Banks resides in his childhood home with his three children following the passing of his wife. Struggling financially, Michael faces the imminent threat of losing his home to the Fidelity Fiduciary Bank due to an unpaid loan.

Determined to keep their home, Michael and his sister Jane remember that their father had shares in the bank which could help them settle their debt. They search the house for the certificate that proves their ownership but find only a kite.

While at the park with Annabel and John, young Georgie finds the kite and attempts to fly it. To everyone's surprise, he gets lifted into the sky alongside Mary Poppins, who decides to become their new nanny.

Mary Poppins starts her duties with a magical bath that transports the children into an oceanic world. Although they experience extraordinary wonders, Mary insists that nothing special actually happened.

Michael visits the bank to verify the shares but is met with hostility from Wilkins, who angrily denies their existence. Frustrated, Wilkins destroys any records that could have proven the family's ownership after Michael leaves.

In a desperate move to gather funds, Annabel and John attempt to sell their mother's beloved bowl. During the struggle, the bowl gets damaged, reflecting the family's despair and efforts to fix their situation.

Mary Poppins, along with the children and Jack, dives into a stunning painting depicting the Royal Doulton Music Hall. Their adventure turns chaotic when Georgie is kidnapped by a gang of animated animals, prompting Annabel and John to embark on a rescue mission.

Mary Poppins takes the children to see her quirky cousin Topsy to get the bowl repaired. However, they quickly find out that the bowl holds little monetary value, leaving them in a disadvantageous position.

Mary Poppins and the children visit the bank to return a briefcase to Michael. Georgie's brave interruption reveals Wilkins's malicious intention to seize their home, but Michael mistakenly reprimands the children for meddling.

Michael learns that Georgie used pieces of the shares certificate to mend the kite. This revelation prompts Michael and Jane to hurry to the bank, determined to save their family’s home.

As a final attempt to make it to the bank in time, Mary Poppins and the children climb Big Ben to whimsically reverse its hands by five minutes. This grants them the crucial time they need to reach the bank before it's too late.

Despite their efforts at the bank, Michael and Jane are initially thwarted by missing signatures. However, Mr. Dawes Jr. arrives and reveals that the shares their father had invested years ago were still intact, allowing them to pay off their debt.

With their debt resolved, the Banks family celebrates at the park. They purchase balloons that take them skyward, and Michael reflects on the magical adventures he once shared with Mary Poppins as a child.

As their delightful time together comes to a close, Mary Poppins prepares to leave. She ascends gracefully into the sky, bidding farewell to the Banks family, who express their heartfelt thanks for all she has done.
