Dragon Ching walks out of prison after a four-year sentence. He begins working as a waiter at Lung Fung Restaurant, trying to rebuild his life. His old comrade Pool believes he is too capable to stay stuck in service.

Dragon reunites with Pool, who believes Dragon is too good to stay stuck washing dishes and should rejoin their triad world. Pool's girlfriend Apple, a club hostess, is beaten by her colleagues after she tries to set herself up with a rich man. Dragon accompanies Pool to negotiate and they end up releasing Gigi and June, though tension remains.
