Jimmy and Tiger, members of China’s national wushu team, travel to Los Angeles for exhibition performances. Tiger secretly plans to defect and build a career there. When Jimmy tries to stop him, he misses his flight home and is stranded. He befriends Andy, a street‑wise teen, while Tiger falls in with a mafia boss. A mishap with a suitcase of cocaine forces Jimmy, Andy and Penny— the boss’s girlfriend— to confront Tiger’s dangerous allies, turning former friends into bitter enemies.
