In the vibrant city of Mumbai, a young and aspiring actor named Vikram embarks on his journey toward Bollywood stardom. Coming from Delhi, he seeks the wisdom of his old friend Abhimanyu, who introduces him to the delightful Sona, a talented actress known for her supporting roles. As their romance blooms, the two become enveloped in the thrill of their new love. In a playful moment, Vikram persuades Sona to join a lucky draw contest hosted by Godrej, hoping to win a new refrigerator to replace her faulty one.

While Vikram enjoys this newfound connection, Sona becomes increasingly ensnared in a dismal web of unfulfilled promises. A small-time producer, Satish, keeps her hopes alive only to let her down when he secures funding for a project and decides against casting her as the second lead. Heartbroken yet determined, Sona gathers her strength and quietly exits, leaving behind a captivating glimpse into Vikram’s world: a photoshoot that has the potential to change her career.

Unbeknownst to Sona, Satish’s wife is captivated by the pictures and sends them to Romy Rolly’s team, one of the most influential producers in Bollywood. When Zafar Khan unexpectedly drops out of an upcoming venture, Romy is left scrambling for new talent. Vikram receives an invitation to audition, competing with many hopefuls. At a high-profile film industry event, he meets the legendary Neena, whose daughter Nikki is already slated for a role in Romy’s project.

Through his grand flattery of Neena, Vikram secures her approval and ultimately earns the lead role in the film. As he revels in this success, celebrations with Sona follow. However, the dynamics shift dramatically when Nikki arrives on set, ushering in a chaotic series of secret affairs, unspoken feelings, and romantic entanglements. When Sona surprises Vikram at the hotel, she is met with a chilling response that confirms her worst fear: Vikram’s affections have shifted to Nikki.

Growing increasingly suspicious, Neena calls for a serious meeting with her daughter and Vikram, stressing the importance of maintaining the facade of being “eligible singles” for the film’s sake. Navigating this precarious world filled with broken commitments and concealed motives, Vikram struggles with the complexities of rising fame while managing the tangled relationships around him.

As production wraps up, gossip regarding Vikram’s flirtations with Sona and two other actresses leaks, thanks to Tanveer, a tabloid journalist and friend of Sona. This scandal portrays Vikram as a cunning charmer, having manipulated Neena, Nikki, and Sona for his gain. Tensions escalate into a fierce confrontation between Vikram and Nikki, resulting in their breakup.

Meanwhile, Sona retreats into solitude, staying at home until Vikram tracks her down at a rooftop location, accusing her of stoking the flames of the scandal. In an impulsive outburst, she storms into Tanveer’s office to confront him, only to discover she has won a prize from Vikram: a shiny new refrigerator.

As Vikram’s film, “Romy Rolly,” premieres and becomes a box office hit, he is launched into the limelight. He indulges in a lavish lifestyle, purchasing a new home and forging connections within the industry. At a grand celebration, he finally meets his idol, Shah Rukh Khan, who reminds him not to forget the friends who stood by him prior to his success. Taking this advice to heart, Vikram reaches out to Sona, apologizing for his past mistakes. However, Sona, having witnessed Vikram’s true self, makes the difficult choice to end their relationship.

Reflecting on her experiences as she drives away, Sona feels a sense of fulfillment in her independent life, realizing that, despite not achieving fame, her existence is rich and satisfying.

In a separate thread, Nikki grapples with the aftermath of Vikram’s actions, while Neena sees a chance to turn their tumultuous situation into a stepping stone for Nikki’s career. Sharing her past struggles as a woman in the industry, Neena encourages Nikki to use their exposure to carve out her own path.
