Gary Gao launches the luxury jet on its maiden voyage from Rio de Janeiro toward Hong Kong. A glittering guest list boards the aircraft, including Prince Khadsa, singer Colin, actress Lily Young, retired sports star Rodman, journalist Mia Ren and her cameraman, and Chef Mike stepping in for the ill Mr. Liu. The journey promises glamour and high-stakes intrigue as the plane climbs into the skies.

A Pacific thunderstorm closes in and the A390 is struck by lightning, testing the crew's resolve. They push for an immediate landing to inspect potential damage, but Gary Gao insists on reaching Hong Kong as quickly as possible. Eventually, a terrestrial check is approved and the plane is steered toward Fortune Island.

The A390 touches down on a dark, rocky strip of Fortune Island, an improvised runway amid the island's rugged terrain. To avoid drawing attention, the location tracker is turned off and passengers remain aboard during the tense exterior checks. The crew begins a cautious assessment of potential damage from the storm and strike.

Mia Ren and her cameraman slip from the cabin and are attacked by unseen creatures on the island. Captain Jason Anderson is killed, and the cameraman dies in the ensuing chaos. Two armed figures in a jeep—Vincent and Nikki—arrive and rescue the survivors, claiming they are sent by the Army to clear the island of monsters.

Chef Mike voices suspicions that Vincent and Nikki are not who they claim to be, doubting the authenticity of the Army's plan. Ruoxin and the rest of the crew remain skeptical as fear and confusion spread through the plane. With radio communications damaged, the group struggles to coordinate a response to the crisis.

Peter is killed after discovering Vincent’s true identity, confirming a dangerous deception. Lily Young and an air hostess are slain by a creature that has boarded the jet, escalating panic aboard the aircraft. The hijackers reveal their deeper objective: hijack the plane and redirect it toward a retired Nimitz-class carrier.

A massive mushroom cloud rises on the horizon, signaling the destruction of the experiment, the creatures, and the carrier.

In the mid-credits scene, a mutated cat is glimpsed hiding on the helicopter, a chilling image suggesting the threat may not be finished. The scene leaves the door open for future dangers hiding in the shadows of high-tech ambitions. The tone underscores a recurring theme: nature and experimentation carry unpredictable consequences.
