On the International Space Station, the crew forms a close-knit unit while investigating Calvin. Personal struggles, such as Sho Murakami's emotional turmoil over his wife's pregnancy, add depth to their interactions and the challenges they face together.

During the investigation of Calvin, a sudden laboratory malfunction puts the creature in a deep comatose state, leading to panic among the scientists. In an attempt to revive Calvin, Hugh employs an electroshock device, a decision that will have dire consequences.
