Rahul begins subletting his apartment to people connected to his boss, using it to host their girlfriends in exchange for recommendations. He quietly harbors feelings for Neha, a coworker who has risen in the ranks through her association with Ranjit. Shikha's sister Shivani reads out a letter from Amol in the US, hinting that he may return to spend his last days with Shivani. Shikha often accompanies Shivani to Bharatanatyam classes, where the news weighs on everyone. The prospect of Amol's return unsettles the family dynamics.

Shruti, Neha's roommate and Ranjit's sister-in-law, is eager to marry and meets several grooms. Monty helps Shruti secure a job at his company, and the two grow into friends who increasingly confide in each other. Shruti starts falling for Monty as wedding shopping and future plans arise.
