Let Me In

In March 1983, a group of police cars rushes an ambulance to Los Alamos Memorial Hospital. Inside is a 50-year-old man with severe acid burns, gasping for breath as toxic fumes have scorched his lungs.

Despite a detective's attempts to reason with him, the unidentified man suddenly escapes from the hospital by leaping out of the tenth floor window. He leaves behind a haunting note that reads, 'I'm sory [sic] Abby'.

Two weeks later, twelve-year-old Owen is seen finding refuge in the snow-covered courtyard of his apartment complex. He often sings alone due to the emotional turmoil stemming from his parents’ divorce.

Owen notices a new girl named Abby moving in next door with a peculiar man, who is not her real father. Abby's strange presence, often seen barefoot, intrigues Owen, setting the stage for their complex relationship.
