Landmine Goes Click

Fiancés Daniel and Alicia, along with their close friend Chris, embark on a trip to the scenic landscapes of rural Georgia. In a private moment filled with tension, Chris confesses to Alicia his desire to come clean to Daniel about a secret affair they shared, but Alicia firmly stands against the idea. The following day, Chris encounters Devi, who is rummaging through their belongings. Alicia introduces Devi as a former colleague as she captures moments of the trio on camera. In an unexpected twist, Chris accidentally steps on a land mine, which leaves him immobilized and in imminent danger of an explosion. In a race against time, Devi offers to go seek help several miles away.

As Devi departs, she spots the group from a distance using binoculars. Meanwhile, Alicia and Daniel make their way to the top of a hill in search of cell reception. Daniel seemingly calls for emergency assistance but instead turns on Alicia, hurling accusations at her and labeling her a whore. They return to Chris, who reveals that he indeed confessed the affair to Daniel. In a shocking revelation, Daniel admits that he never made a phone call and that getting reception in the area is impossible. He then chooses to abandon the situation and heads back to Devi, while Alicia takes it upon herself to stay behind to support Chris.

Hours later, a hunter named Ilya, accompanied by his dog, discovers the stranded pair. After learning how they found themselves in this predicament, Alicia divulges the details about Daniel and the affair. Ilya mockingly calls Alicia a whore and threatens to leave until she pleads with him. In a disturbing display of power, Ilya coerces Alicia into humiliating herself for the sake of obtaining his radio to call for help. He demands that she removes her clothing, and although Alicia initially complies by taking off her shirt, she ultimately refuses to go further. In retaliation, Ilya brandishes his shotgun at Chris, chasing after Alicia as she flees.

As Ilya’s weapon falls from his grasp, Chris seizes the opportunity to retrieve it. Although Ilya captures Alicia again, holding her in a chokehold with a knife, Chris is rendered helpless and must watch as Ilya takes her to a rock and assaults her. In a moment of desperation, Alicia manages to grab Ilya’s knife, but a sudden attack from Ilya’s dog causes Chris to be knocked off the mine he was precariously standing on, leaving him unconscious. When he regains consciousness, he is greeted by the horrifying sight of Alicia’s lifeless body nearby, while Ilya chillingly reveals that the mine was a ruse, as they typically explode the moment someone steps on them. Heartbroken, Chris mourns over Alicia’s corpse.

As time passes, Chris encounters Tanya and her daughter Lika at their home, claiming that he is lost. Unbeknownst to him, they are the wife and daughter of Ilya. Upon recognizing Chris, Ilya insists he must leave. Fueled by rage, Chris returns after killing Ilya’s dog, fabricating a story about it being an accident. Enraged, Ilya threatens Chris with his shotgun, but Chris, having already stolen the gun’s ammunition, retaliates. He shoots Ilya in both legs with a silenced revolver and forces Tanya and Lika inside the house.

In a chilling turn of events, Chris begins to torment Lika, compelling her to replicate the degrading actions Alicia had to endure, all while Ilya and Tanya watch in horror. As the tension escalates, Chris shockingly plays Russian roulette with Lika, ultimately shooting her without mercy. A numb Chris stands motionless, lost in a void of despair as Ilya and Tanya weep bitterly for their daughter.
