Laksamana Do Re Mi

Do, Re and Mi are best friends living in a simple treehouse, working together to collect and sell firewood. They are driven out by the landowner and wander the forest. At night, they hear a voice calling for help, which they fear might be a trick by a spirit, but they decide to follow it.

They follow the voice to a wounded bamboo tree. They pull out the spear stuck in it, freeing the tree. The bamboo transforms into the Giant Bamboo Princess, Tuan Puteri Buluh Betong, who explains she is the daughter of Anak Buloh Betong. She gives them magical items: a magic carpet for Do, a telescope for Re, and a harmonica for Mi.

The trio decide to use their gifts to seek fortune. Re uses the telescope to discover that the Sultan is seeking brave men to become Admirals. They enter the contest and, with Mi's harmonica granting them temporary superhuman strength, win easily. The Sultan is impressed and makes them Admirals.

As part of a royal assignment, the Admirals are sent to defend the allied kingdom of Pasir Dua Butir, which is under attack by Fasola, a former minister turned traitor. Fasola sacks the kingdom, terrorizes civilians, and holds the princess captive. The trio vows to rescue her and restore peace.

Seeing the princess in distress through Re's telescope, the Sultan promises to marry her to anyone who defeats Fasola. Do, Re and Mi set out on a rescue mission with this new motivation. They prepare their gear and rally their courage for the dangerous task ahead.

They defeat Fasola's army, aided by Mi's harmonica which often makes soldiers dance or lose their will to fight. Do's skill and Re's keen lookout help them push through the attackers. The trio presses toward Fasola's stronghold to confront the traitor.

Fasola defeats them in a sword fight, showing his magical invulnerability. Do manages a stabbing blow that seems to land but has no effect. Re uses the telescope to find Fasola's only weakness: he can be killed by stabbing a sharp bamboo to his sole. Mi conjures a sharp bamboo with the harmonica, and Do wields it in the next clash.

With Fasola defeated, the trio frees the Princess and returns with her to safety. All three fall in love with her, and she reveals she would be happy to marry all of them. The victory redeems the mission and restores hope to the kingdom.

Returning to the Sultan's palace, the trio and the princess are welcomed as heroes. The princess declares she will marry all three Admirals, and they agree despite initial astonishment. The Sultan also finds himself drawn to the princess, creating a complex romantic dynamic at court.

The Sultan recounts the tale of Hang Tuah presenting Tun Teja to his sultan as a sign of loyalty, reminding them that loyalty and wit matter more than status. He questions why the Admirals should not emulate that loyalty, impressing the princess and the court. The moment underscores a moral about integrity within the court.

The Sultan offers three palace handmaidens as wives to the Admirals as a reward. To everyone's shock, the handmaidens are ugly old hags. The three Admirals flee in fear, aided by Mi's harmonica that makes them itchy, and escape on their magic carpets amid the court's laughter.

The trio rides their magic carpets, laughing at the pursuit of the handmaidens. The gifts from the bamboo princess still glitter in their pockets, hinting at more adventures ahead. The three friends sail into an unknown horizon, united and ready for whatever comes next.
