By a stroke of luck, Phillipe manages to escape from his imprisonment through the treacherous prison sewers. As he flees, he engages in desperate conversations with God, revealing his fears and reluctance to return to a life of freedom filled with peril.

Just as the guards are closing in on Phillipe, a mysterious knight clad in black intervenes and saves him. This knight, known as Etienne Navarre, showcases his combat skills by swiftly dealing with the guards, solidifying a newfound alliance.
