Ashwin, a press photographer, captures footage of the event, focusing on the robbers' actions during their escape. Although injured, Ashwin manages to retrieve a memory card from his camera amidst the chaos.

Ashwin's brave actions during the robbery are broadcasted on local TV channels. His quick thinking and courage earn him praise from colleagues and media friends, boosting his reputation as a journalist. His footage becomes instrumental in exposing the culprits and their motives.

Ashwin crosses paths with Renuka, who previously caused him to fall and lose his camera during the chase. Their meeting sets off a complicated relationship, and Ashwin begins to develop feelings for her. Renuka's involvement introduces an additional layer to the unfolding events.

Two politicians, Chief Minister Yogeswaran and his opponent Alavandhan, are engaged in a fierce battle for control of the state. Ashwin exposes their illegal activities and wrong-doings, which puts him at odds with both political figures and complicates his life.

Vasanthan Perumal, a youth working to gain the people's trust, is introduced. He is saved from goons by Ashwin, and aims to bring change to the state. Despite his efforts, he struggles to challenge the political giants, highlighting his ambitions for a better future.

A devastating bomb explodes at Vasanthan's political rally, resulting in numerous casualties including Saro, Ashwin's close friend. The attack shifts public opinion, causing many to support Vasanthan's cause and increasing political tensions.

Following the bombing incident, Vasanthan gains widespread support and wins the elections to become the Chief Minister. His victory marks a significant shift in the political landscape, fueling hopes for change.

Ashwin uncovers evidence linking a killer, associated with the bank robbers, to the Naxalite movement. Shockingly, he finds the killer inside Vasanthan's office, raising suspicions about possible political manipulation or betrayal.

Ashwin follows the killer to a Naxalite hideout and witnesses a shootout between the terrorists and police commandos. He learns that Vasanthan's planned bombing was orchestrated by him to manipulate public sympathy, and discovers the deeper conspiracy involved.

It is revealed that Vasanthan himself orchestrated the bomb blast to gain public support, and murdered Saro upon discovering her plans to expose him. He then confronts Ashwin and the Naxalites in a deadly showdown, revealing his manipulative tactics.

During the climax, Ashwin fights Vasanthan and ends up stepping on a landmine. Vasanthan pleads with Ashwin to hide the truth, but Ashwin chooses to reveal all. He then destroys the landmine, which explodes, killing Vasanthan and ending his reign of deception.

After surviving the landmine explosion, Ashwin urges Renuka to delete the initial shocking headlines about Vasanthan to prevent public disillusionment. A new report is prepared, and both Ashwin and Renuka submit their resignation, but their editor refuses to accept it.

Ashwin and Renuka continue their work at the Tamil daily newspaper, while Vasanthan's allies, now in power, rule the state. The story concludes with a sense of unresolved tension, highlighting ongoing political and media challenges.
