Brian attends Lyn's funeral and is surprised to see old associates among the mourners. The reunion stirs old tensions and hints at one more job they might be tempted to pull off. The memory of his wife lingers as the plan begins to emerge.

After the service, the gang meets and debates pulling off a final heist. They agree on targeting the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit, despite their age, and the idea begins to take shape.

A formal planning session is held to map out the robbery from start to finish. They discuss roles, timings, and the feasibility of pulling off such a high-stakes burglary in their 60s and 70s.

They choose to execute the robbery during the Easter weekend to maximize time and minimize risk of detection. Basil is the only notably younger member, bringing an external skill set to the crew.

The team poses as gas repair workers to gain entry into Hatton Garden Safe Deposit. Basil has a key to an exterior door, and they begin by trying to disarm the building's alarms.

Alarms are trialed and deactivated, and they push the vault cabinet away from the wall to reach the boxes. A faulty jack breaks, leaving the plan in jeopardy, and they decide to retreat and return with a better tool.

Back at home, Brian has a change of heart and decides it's too dangerous to continue. He resolves not to return to the building and hopes to end the operation.

Basil meets with Brian to push him to go back and finish the job. Brian refuses but writes down the locations of the most valuable boxes and makes Basil promise a larger share of the loot.

Basil and the others return with the replacement tool and finally push the cabinet away from the vault wall. Two thieves slip into the vault, break open many boxes with crow bars, and they haul out jewels and cash totaling over £14 million.

The gang gathers at a fellow thief's home to divide the proceeds. Basil realizes the others never intended to share fairly. He grabs cash and the high-value diamonds and escapes, taking what he believes is his best take.

Police are alerted and review CCTV footage, tracing a car associated with one of the thieves. They extend their surveillance to phone taps and track the gang's movements.

As authorities monitor the gang's plan for a final split, the police move in and arrest them at their meeting. Brian is arrested at his home for not showing up, while Basil, in disguise, had already fled and remains at large.

With the gang in custody, they prepare for court appearances and face the consequences of their actions. The film closes with a quiet sense of respect for Brian as their unspoken leader, even as the rest head toward trial.
