Dave Lizewski finds himself feeling aimless after stepping back from his role as the vigilante known as Kick-Ass. His yearning for excitement leads him to seek new adventures and rekindle his heroics in a city that seems to need them.

Mindy Macready, struggling with the tragic loss of her father Big Daddy, faces severe isolation after his death. In a bid for companionship and purpose, she eventually agrees to train and team up with Dave.

Chris D'Amico has a catastrophic argument with his mother about his father's death, which ends with an accidental tragedy, leading to her demise. This incident drives him to assume the villainous identity of Motherf****r, determined to seek revenge against Kick-Ass.

Marcus, who serves as Mindy's guardian, learns of her continued involvement in crime-fighting. Concerned for her safety, he implores her to give up her superhero aspirations, which adds stress to her already tumultuous life.

Dave's girlfriend, Katie Deauxma, becomes suspicious of his behavior, leading to the end of their relationship. She mistakenly believes he is cheating on her with Mindy, which adds to Dave's challenges as he navigates his dual life.

Embracing his role as Kick-Ass, Dave joins an unconventional superhero group called Justice Forever, led by Colonel Stars and Stripes. The team, filled with quirky characters, sets out to make a difference in their community.

Justice Forever starts with benevolent acts like volunteering at soup kitchens, showcasing their desire to help. However, they soon shift their focus to tackling bigger threats, including shutting down a sketchy brothel that exploits women.

Mindy tries to navigate a normal school life but finds herself bullied by popular girls, particularly Brooke. After impressing everyone at a dance audition, she faces jealousy that drives her to retaliate, ultimately getting suspended.

As Motherf****r builds a menacing gang of villains, the tension in the city escalates. This leads to violent encounters, including the murder of Colonel Stars and Stripes, which sends shockwaves through the vigilante community.

After being wrongfully accused of being Kick-Ass, Dave's father takes the fall to protect his son. This act of bravery draws further complications into Dave's life as the stakes continue to rise.

The Motherf****r reveals his identity by sending Dave a photograph of his father's murder, aiming to crush Dave's spirit. Heartbroken, Dave vows never to wear his Kick-Ass suit again after a funeral ambush leads to his kidnapping.

Mindy refuses to abandon Dave and pursues the villains to enact a daring rescue. Her fierce determination showcases her skills as she takes down many of the gang members to save her friend.

In a climactic battle at the villains' lair, Mindy and the Justice Forever gang unite against their foes. Their teamwork and Mindy's clever tactics lead to an explosive confrontation that results in the defeat of Mother Russia and the Motherf****r.

Following the intense events, Mindy decides to leave New York to protect herself and further her journey. Before she departs, she acknowledges Dave's growth into a true hero, leaving him with a final kiss and a heavy heart.

In a humorous post-credits scene, the Motherf****r is seen in a hospital bed, pleading for water and lamenting the dire consequences of his fall from grace. This moment serves as a comedic reflection on his villainous journey.
