Khuda Haafiz

In 2007, Sameer Chowdhary and Nargis enter into an arranged marriage after falling in love. The union connects two families and marks the start of their life together.

The 2008 financial crisis leaves Sameer and Nargis jobless, testing their stability. They scramble to adjust to sudden economic hardship before their next move.

Three months after losing their jobs, they secure employment in Noman with help from Nadeem. Nargis leaves for Noman, while Sameer stays behind awaiting his documents.

After Nargis reaches Noman, she calls Sameer in a panic, telling him she is being kidnapped. Sameer travels to Noman and meets Usman, a taxi driver who offers to help navigate the unfamiliar streets.

Usman drives them to an address given by Nadeem, but there is no such place. They are instead pulled toward a police station where they learn Nadeem has vanished.

With local help failing, Sameer poses as a telecom employee at the Indian embassy to uncover the caller’s whereabouts. He discovers the call originates from a man named Shirazi, who is implicated in human trafficking.

Sameer and Usman visit brothels in search of Nargis and locate her, but the owners attack them. In self-defense, Sameer kills the men, triggering a car chase and ultimately drawing the attention of embassy police who arrest him.

Sameer narrates the incident to the cops and learns from CCTV footage at Noman airport that Nargis entered a van with Itzak, an Algerian modelling coordinator. Itzak orders that Nargis be killed.

Tamena and Faiz discover a burnt corpse they believe is Nargis and inform Sameer. He is devastated when he sees her pendant confirms the loss; soon after, Nargis's funeral is held and Sameer receives compensation and travel tickets to India.

Tamena later learns Nargis is alive and that the corpse belonged to another woman. She and Faiz attempt to locate Sameer again, only to learn that he never boarded the flight.

Sameer tracks Itzak to his house and learns Nargis is alive. Faiz is revealed to be Itzak’s ally, and Tamena helps Sameer and Usman escape using a black truck trailer with Nargis inside.

Faiz kills Tamena and frames Sameer; a truck chase ends with Itzak dead and Faiz meeting his crime partner. An undercover cop photographs Itzak’s boss as part of the larger conspiracy.

Sameer reaches the Indian Embassy but is captured by Faiz, who plans to kill him. A guard stops the plan after Ali Azam Ghazi’s betrayal, and a brutal fistfight ensues, ending with Sameer freeing Nargis.

Three days later, Tamena’s state funeral is held and Faiz is executed by firing squad for kidnapping the women. The case closes as the victims begin to recover.

At the airport, Sameer and Nargis prepare to leave for India and share a final moment with Usman, inviting him to meet them in India the day before departure.
