Vajravelu, a local criminal working for a minister, casts a long shadow over the community. His brother-in-law Ezhumalai is arrested by the police for a brutal murder; on the way to court, he is shot by a policeman. Vajravelu's henchmen bring Ezhumalai to Sabari and force him to operate.
