Chitra, a loner, arrives in Araku seeking work as a school teacher. She carries the trauma of a year spent in a mental asylum after witnessing her family's murder. Her arrival sets the stage for the encounters that follow.

Krishna is an aspiring director who travels to Araku to conduct a test shoot and finish the script for his debut film. His arrival brings him into contact with Chitra, and their paths cross as they pursue their respective goals.

Over time, Chitra and Krishna form a friendship despite their different ambitions. Their bond provides a counterpoint to the dark events looming over Araku.

While using her binoculars, Chitra witnesses a murder and can clearly identify the victim's face. She reports the incident to the police, but they fail to find any corroborating evidence.

The police investigate Chitra's report but find no tangible evidence linking the murder to any suspect. Chitra worries that her past mental condition may be relapsing as she struggles to trust her own memory.

Eventually, the police learn that the female victim did exist and they obtain a CD showing Circle Inspector with the victim in a store. This discovery challenges the Inspector's attempts to mask the crime.

It is revealed that the victim is the Circle Inspector's dead girlfriend's daughter, and that the Inspector lured her to Araku to kill her. He struggles to acknowledge their illegitimate relationship without tainting his reputation.

The Circle Inspector attempts to make the murder look like a figment of Chitra's imagination and confronts her about her claim. He becomes infuriated when Chitra refuses to accept it as a mere hallucination.

Chitra and Krishna try to seize the disc and escape, but the Circle Inspector confronts them and aims to kill Krishna. During the struggle, Krishna's foot is injured.

Circle Inspector holds Krishna at gunpoint, but Chitra refuses to hand over the disc. She slaps the Inspector, who then chooses to end his life.

Chitra explains that she did not expect the Circle Inspector to kill them, since he had already framed a dead officer for the girl's murder. The revelation underscores the depth of his deception.

Chitra and Krishna take the disc as evidence to the police. This move ensures the truth behind the murder is preserved and can be acted upon.

With the case moving forward, Chitra and Krishna find closure and choose to unite. Their shared ordeal strengthens their bond as they look toward a hopeful future.
