Kangaroo Jack: G’Day, U.S.A.!

In an introductory dream sequence, Charlie Carbone and Louis Booker film a commercial for their shampoo company in Australia directed by their kangaroo friend Jackie Legs. Louis believes the dream portends trouble, while Charlie, Louis’s best friend, and Charlie’s wife Jessie think it’s just a dream. The scene sets a playful tone and introduces the core trio and their quirky ally.

Back in Australia, Charlie, Louis, and Jessie search for a local Aboriginal tribe that can help them find sweet-smelling berries for a new shampoo line. They meet Ankamuti, the tribal leader, who explains that his people have lost the source of their mystical power and that four precious jewels could restore it. He hints that Charlie and Louis may be the chosen ones who must locate and return the gems.

Ankamuti confirms that the lost gems are the source of his people’s power and that the seekers are meant to recover them. He assigns Charlie and Louis with the task of finding and returning the four jewels. The trio accepts the mission, feeling the weight of their new responsibility as guardians of the mystical gems.

While searching for the gems, the trio reunites with Jackie and his family in the wild. A group of animal smugglers raids the area, and Jackie is separated and captured. Charlie, Louis, and Jessie vow to rescue him and the other animals.

They sneak into the back of a truck, hoping to recover Jackie. They discover a tranquilized Jackie in a crate and conceal him as they hide inside. When a smuggler checks the cargo, Louis accidentally passes gas, startling the criminals and enabling the trio to be hauled away.

The next day, Charlie, Louis, and Jessie are shipped from Sydney to Las Vegas, where Jackie and the other animals are headed to Outback Ollie, a television show host and zookeeper. They end up in a warehouse in Las Vegas with the animals, while a group of criminals spies on them. The stage is set for a high-stakes escape.

Inside the Las Vegas warehouse, the group frees Jackie, who is unconscious, and hides him in a crate as they devise an escape. They grab a golf cart and race for freedom while alarms blare. Their bold breakout marks the first major success of their plan.

The quartet stumbles upon Ronald Booker, Louis’s limousine-driving cousin, and hops into his limo to avoid further attention. Jackie leaps from the vehicle to create a traffic jam and draw the pursuers away. The group threads through the streets as they try to stay one step ahead of danger.

They hide in an apartment building but are confronted by two cops trying to arrest them for jewel theft and animal smuggling. Louis knocks out both officers, revealing that they are fake. Ronald parts ways with the crew, leaving them to continue the chase on their own.

Ronald’s departure forces the group to pursue him across the city until they reach Mrs. Sperling’s backyard, where they finally locate Jackie. He escapes again and heads toward a boating resort, aided by Outback Ollie’s help. The rescue sets the stage for Ollie’s eventual betrayal.

The crew confronts Outback Ollie at his zoo, where he is ready to harm the animals for profit. Charlie, Louis, Jessie, with Ronald and the FBI, expose Ollie as a criminal and shut down his operation. The confrontation seals the immediate danger but the gems remain at risk.

During the standoff, Ollie captures Jessie and threatens her with crocodiles, but Jackie rescues her in a bold move. With Ollie and his henchmen arrested, the gems are returned to Charlie, Louis, and Jessie.

A few days later, Jackie and the animals are returned to Australia. Charlie, Louis, and Jessie return the gems to Ankamuti, who grants them the ability to understand Jackie and the other animals’ speech. Jackie thanks them for saving him and declares them true friends for life.
