The film’s climax finds Dasru — the former militant who has been fleeing ever since his wife Vaano was hanged and beaten to death by the henchmen of MLA Phulo Karma — dragging his three‑month‑old daughter through the ruins of the construction site. Desperate for protection, he finally approaches Phulo herself, still believing she might be a sympathetic ally from his own state of Jharkhand.

Inspector Ratnakar Bagul, who has been tracking the case, arrives at the same moment. He tells Dasru the awful truth: Phulo was the mastermind behind the murder of his wife and the hunt that has driven him to the brink. In the ensuing struggle, Phulo tries to seize Ratnakar’s gun and shoot Dasru, but Ratnakar fires first, killing her with a point‑blank shot.

With Phulo dead, a contingent of military police storms the area, intent on killing Dasru. Ratnakar shouts for them to spare him, pleading for a fair trial, but his cries are ignored. Dasru grabs his infant and runs away, disappearing into the chaotic landscape as the forces close in.

The final image—Dasru endlessly fleeing with his child—leaves the audience with a stark portrait of a tribal man stripped of identity, constantly pursued by a system that claims development but delivers displacement and death. The ending does not offer closure; it underscores the perpetual survival struggle faced by the indigenous people the film portrays.
