Shakti is the adopted son of the Madurai crime boss Sivan and serves as his right-hand man. He hates the police after a police officer killed his father, who worked as Sivan's driver. Because of this trauma, he loathes the khaki color worn by officers and even forbids Sivan’s watchman from wearing it.

Shakti's romantic life takes a hit when Shanthi, an Inspector, enters the picture. Her presence complicates his loyalties between duty and romance. He also keeps up a playful dynamic with his friend Gopal as tensions rise.

Ajay Rathore insults Sivan, and Sivan responds by forcing Shakti to become an IPS officer to protect the crime syndicate. Reluctantly, Shakti accepts and takes charge as ACP of Madurai City East. He grants free rein to Sivan’s gang, letting them wreak havoc across the city.

A gas leak from Sivan’s activities destroys a school and nearby buildings, killing several people. The tragedy shocks Shakti and marks a turning point toward a more honest path. The moment he dons the khaki uniform for the first time, he confronts Sivan’s henchmen who had assaulted a woman at the police station.

With Shanthi and Gopal at his side, Shakti intensifies the crackdown and arrests most of Sivan’s gang in a single night. For this achievement, he is promoted to DCP, signaling a shift toward legitimate policing.

Minister Aadhi Kesavan, another of Sivan's adopted sons, plots to kill Sivan himself in revenge for his father's death. At the same time, he tries to trap Shakti by planning to kill Sivan's son Vignesh and pin the crime on Shakti.

Sivan uncovers Aadhi's schemes and reconciles with Shakti, and the two join forces to confront Aadhi and his henchmen. The partnership marks a pragmatic truce in a volatile war between father and son.

Shakti defeats Aadhi and hands him over to Sivan. Sivan gives Aadhi a grim choice: kill himself or be killed. The moment tests loyalty and seals the complex bond between them.

The next day, under orders from Sivan, the police come to arrest Shakti. Shakti reluctantly leads the arrest, and the pair walk out of the house together, their uneasy bond echoing the past.

The film features special appearances in the song Jingunamani by Scarlett Mellish Wilson and Hazel Crowney. These cameos appear briefly within the musical sequence amid the tense narrative.

The film closes with Shakti and Sivan walking out together after the arrest, their gait signaling an uneasy, continuing bond between father and son. The resolution leaves open the possibility of future confrontations and uneasy cooperation.
