The first part of the Hussite Revolutionary Trilogy depicts May 1412 to summer 1415 in the Czech Kingdom. It shows Prague protests against papal indulgences announced by Pope John XXIII, with preacher Master Jan Hus rallying townspeople, nobles and Queen Sophie, wife of King Wenceslas IV, to end church abuses.
