Jack Frost

Jack Frost, the lead singer of a rock band in Medford, Colorado, becomes focused on achieving fame and success in music. His obsession with signing a record deal causes him to neglect his family, particularly his 11-year-old son, Charlie, who longs for his father’s attention.

One winter day, Jack spends quality time with Charlie as they build a snowman together. During this activity, Jack gives Charlie a special harmonica, which he describes as magical and promises to always be able to hear it, no matter where he is.

Jack promises his wife, Gabby, that he will attend Charlie's hockey game. However, he ultimately chooses to prioritize recording a new hit song instead, further straining his relationship with his family.

To make amends for missing the hockey game, Jack vows to take his family on a Christmas trip to the mountains. Yet, he is faced with an important gig that threatens his band’s future, leading him to make a tough decision.

While on his journey to fulfill his promise, Jack realizes he has made a mistake and attempts to borrow his bandmate's car to take his family to the mountains. Unfortunately, while driving in a snowstorm, he crashes and dies, leaving his family behind.

A year after Jack's death, Charlie is engulfed in sadness and has become withdrawn. To cope with his feelings, he builds another snowman that resembles his father and plays the magical harmonica before going to sleep.

Thanks to the harmonica's magic, Jack is brought back to life, albeit in the form of a snowman. Initially, he frightens Charlie, but when Jack uses his nickname for Charlie, they share a heartfelt moment, reconnecting as father and son.

Jack takes on the role of a guide for Charlie, imparting lessons and values that he failed to teach him while alive. He motivates Charlie to rejoin his hockey team and encourages him to overcome his grief, reminding him of the importance of living fully.

As the warm Christmas Eve approaches, Jack begins to melt, which puts him in a race against time to attend Charlie's hockey game. His struggle becomes a poignant reminder of his limited time with his son.

After the hockey game, Jack and Charlie head to the mountain cabin where they were supposed to spend Christmas together before his untimely death. However, convincing Gabby to join them proves to be a challenge.

Jack contacts Gabby, asking her to come to the cabin to pick up Charlie. Upon hearing Jack's voice, Gabby is initially shocked but eventually recognizes him, leading to a reunion that transcends the boundaries of life and death.

As Jack reluctantly prepares to depart from Charlie, he transforms back into his ethereal form, revealing his true self. He assures Charlie that he will always be with him, offering a heartfelt goodbye to both his wife and son.

After Jack bids farewell to his family, he returns to the afterlife, leaving Charlie with cherished memories and lessons that will guide him throughout his life. Jack’s spirit lives on in the hearts of his loved ones, reminding them of the bond they share.
