Jab Jab Phool Khile

Rita Khanna travels to Jammu and Kashmir for a holiday along with her maid Stella. She rents a houseboat and befriends the owner, Raja, who is described as an innocent and romantic village guy. Over the days, Rita and Raja grow close, and Raja begins to fall in love with her.

Back home, Rita's father Raj Bahadur Chunnilal urges her to marry Kishore. Rita remains noncommittal, postponing any decision about marriage. This tension foreshadows the next year's events.
