I Love You to Death

In the heart of Tacoma, Joey Boca confesses his numerous affairs to a priest in a confessional. He admits to being unfaithful to his wife Rosalie on at least seven occasions in just two weeks, wrestling with guilt but showing little true remorse.

Joey and Rosalie run a successful pizzeria while balancing the demands of family life and raising their two children. Their business is thriving, and it serves as the backdrop for Joey's double life and infidelities.

Devo, a young employee at the pizzeria, develops feelings for Rosalie, who is significantly older than him. He becomes increasingly troubled by Joey's unfaithfulness and attempts to convince Rosalie to reconsider her loyalty to Joey.

Despite the signs of Joey's unfaithfulness all around her, Rosalie remains oblivious to the truth. She believes Joey’s late nights are deserved breaks from their busy lives and places unwavering trust in him.

Rosalie's mother, Nadja, becomes increasingly frustrated with Joey's behavior and the unyielding pressure it puts on her daughter. This tension adds complexity to the family dynamics, pushing Nadja to consider taking action against Joey.

Rosalie inadvertently discovers Joey in a compromising situation at the local library, shattering her trust. This incident sparks a furious desire for revenge against Joey as she realizes the depth of his betrayal.

Deeply hurt, Rosalie and Nadja conspire to exact revenge on Joey. They brainstorm various plans, showcasing their determination to confront the man who has wronged them.

Their first attempts at revenge are disastrous; an attempted attack on Joey with a baseball bat fails, revealing the ineffectiveness of their plans. Their frustration mounts as each effort is thwarted.

Nadja crafts a plan to rig Joey's car with explosives, but the bomb fails to detonate. This near miss further illustrates their struggle and desperation to deal with the situation as Joey remains blissfully unaware.

Rosalie and Nadja attempt to drug Joey by lacing his spaghetti with sedatives. However, despite Joey indulging, he dismisses his discomfort as a common virus, further complicating their revenge efforts.

Feeling responsible for Rosalie's plight, Devo is asked to take drastic action against Joey. Unable to go through with it, he inadvertently only grazes Joey during a failed attempt to shoot him, resulting in more chaos.

After his own failure, Devo employs the James cousins, Harlan and Marlon, to take care of Joey. This choice turns out to be a poor decision as the cousins bumble through the task, causing confusion and chaos.

Harlan takes a shot at Joey, hitting him in the chest but astonishingly, Joey remains standing. His body’s reaction is delayed due to the sedatives, leaving everyone shocked at his resilience.

As conspiracies unravel, the authorities are alerted and quickly arrive on the scene. They discover Joey wounded yet oblivious, leading to the arrest of Rosalie, Nadja, Devo, and the James cousins.

Surprisingly, Joey chooses not to pursue charges against those who conspired against him. Instead, he waits for Rosalie, flowers in hand, showing a willingness to mend their fractured relationship despite the chaos.
