Hum To Mohabbat Karega

Rajiv “Raju” Bhatnagar, [Bobby Deol], is a waiter in a popular hotel. He lies to Geeta Kapoor, [Karisma Kapoor], that he witnessed a murder, and this false claim sets off a dangerous chain of events. The unknown killer decides to target him next and begins to hunt Raju, turning his life into a race for survival. Meanwhile, Geeta is searching for her brother Vikram and seeks help from Gul Mahomed, [Rajendra Gupta], a convict who was framed for illegal money-making by the Mafia. Vikram had been trying to help Gul Hassan prove his innocence but ended up kidnapped by the Mafia, and Gul managed a jailbreak. Raju, despite the danger to his own life, resolves to help Geeta, but Geeta discovers the truth and walks away. When he goes looking for Geeta, he has no idea that both the Mafia and the Police are closing in on him, either.

The plot thickens as Gul Mahomed is mysteriously murdered, and Geeta and Raju cross paths again, deciding to team up to find the real killer who is tied to the Mafia. Soon, Raju is kidnapped once more by the Mafia and forced into acting as a gangster, though he pretends to go along with their scheme. The Mafia, however, sees through his pretense and plots to kill him when he visits Geeta. She comes to his rescue, and he directs her to the route she needs to take. For inexplicable reasons, Raju seems to know every detail of the village—be it a river, a motorboat, or a monk’s house. When Geeta asks how he knows so much, he hints that she used to live there with him.

Disregarding this revelation, Raju and Geeta team up to steal diamonds from Mr. Desai’s locker, only for Geeta to discover that Raju has vanished with the gems and was actually a pawn of the Mafia all along. Geeta breaks down, but the truth emerges: he stole to rescue his friend Kutty, [Johnny Lever], who the Mafia had kidnapped along with Kutty’s girlfriend Vishali. Geeta’s world shakes as Rohit, [Rohit Roy], and Geeta seem poised to marry, until Raju reappears with evidence that Rohit is the killer and that Vikram had also been shot. Rohit’s plan to create TV news channels hinges on the diamonds Mr. Desai possessed, and the alias Patel hides his real intentions.

Vikram had discovered Rohit’s scheme and was ready to expose him, but Rohit murders Vikram and Gul Mahomed’s daughter to silence them. Gul Mahomed had wanted to meet Geeta to reveal Rohit’s guilt. As Rohit tries to force Geeta into marriage, Raju charges in to rescue her. The pair records the Mafia and Rohit with their counterfeit notes and broadcasts the footage in a live feed, drawing the police to surround the criminals and arrest them. In a final chase, Rohit abducts Geeta and makes a run for it, with Raju pursuing. Rohit waits at a corner, shoots when Raju steps into view, and Raju collapses. Rohit then aims to finish Geeta, but Raju manages to throw him off the top of a factory building. With the danger behind them, Raju earns a new role on Geeta’s news channel, and the two commit to a wedding, signaling a new beginning after a perilous ride through loyalty, deception, and courage.
