Hospital Massacre

On Valentine’s Day 1961, Harold Rusk leaves a card for Susan Jeremy at her home. Susan and her friend David mock the gesture and crumble the card in front of him. Enraged, Harold breaks in and hangs David from a hatstand, killing him.

Nineteen years later, Susan, now divorced with a daughter and a new boyfriend named Jack, goes to the hospital to pick up her exam results. A man in surgical garb watches her from a window and sabotages the elevator to delay her. He then kills Dr. Jacobs and tampers with her paperwork; a janitor who tries to follow him is grabbed and his face is dunked into a sink full of acid.

Susan enlists a friendly intern named Harry to obtain her exam results. Harry notices the results are abnormal and realizes something is wrong, so he brings the documents and Susan to Doctor Saxon. This marks the start of a dangerous conspiracy surrounding Susan's care.

Doctors Saxon and Beam order that Susan be detained for observation due to irregularities in the paperwork and abnormal test results. The hospital isolates Susan as investigators look for the truth behind the apparent con.

Harry uncovers evidence suggesting someone is running a con against Susan but disappears after promising to straighten things out. His absence leaves Susan more exposed and worried about her safety.

Jack, waiting in his car, enters the hospital to find Susan during her escape attempts. He is lured to an empty room by a phone call and is killed by the killer, who decapitates him with an electric orthopedic saw after a nurse's corpse is found nearby.

The killer places a large box beside Susan's bed. She opens it to discover Jack's severed head and she bursts into a panic, seeking help from the staff.

Susan is found by Saxon and a nurse and brought back to her room. When she tries to show them the box's contents, they discover it contains only a cake, not Jack's head as she feared.

Susan tells Saxon about Harry's findings, and Saxon goes to review copies of Susan's paperwork in the archives. She spots the killer heading toward the archives, confirming danger is closing in.

Inside the archives, the killer waits in the dark and drives a surgical hatchet into Saxon's skull as he tries to flee, then disappears into the shadows. Susan witnesses the murder from her hiding place while the staff refuse to believe her.

With Saxon dead and the hospital beginning to panic, Susan is strapped to a gurney as doctors prepare an emergency surgery. The staff dismiss her warnings as delirium, allowing the danger to unfold around her.

Nurse Dora is ambushed in an empty corridor and injected with poison. Dr. Beam is stabbed through the neck from behind a medical screen while observing Susan's X-rays, further escalating the carnage.

The killer abducts Susan to a vacant operating room and she pulls off his mask to reveal Harry is actually Harold Rusk. He mutters that he wants Susan's heart, confirming his obsession.

Susan stabs Harold when he is distracted by patients, then escapes. She pursues him to the hospital roof, where she sets him on fire with flammable liquid and watches him plummet to the street below.

The next day, Susan is released from the hospital and reunites with her daughter and ex-husband outside the building. The ordeal ends with her survival and return to normal life.
