Hocus Pocus

A young Winifred Sanderson storms through Salem at age 16, terrifying the townspeople. She arrives home to her sisters Sarah and Mary, complaining about her age and her upcoming marriage arrangement with John Pritchett. Her defiance catches the attention of Reverend Traske, who banishes the sisters from Salem.

The Sanderson sisters flee into the woods after being banished and are discovered by Mother Witch, who initially plans to eat them. Winnie’s magical abilities impress Mother Witch, who gives her a spellbook and warns her against using the dangerous Magicae Maxima spell.

The sisters return to Salem with their newfound magic. They use their spells to set Reverend Traske's house on fire, reveling in their dark powers and youth, which they sustain by absorbing the essence of children.

In modern Salem, teenager Becca arrives at school for her 16th birthday, feeling like an outsider. She and her friends, Izzy and Cassie, plan a spooky sleepover and practice witchcraft together, unaware of the resurrected witches nearby.

At a magic shop, Gilbert recounts the legend of the Sanderson sisters and their resurrection in 1993 through the Black Flame Candle. He gives Becca a candle and hints at the ongoing danger as the sisters are about to be brought back.

During a ritual in the woods, the Black Flame Candle reignites, releasing the resurrected Sanderson sisters. They are thrilled to be back and sing ‘The Witches are Back,’ eager to cause chaos once again.

The sisters pursue Becca and Izzy, who deceive them by pretending to be older witches. They lead the sisters to a Walgreens, where the sisters尝试 various lotions and potions, believing they will regain their youth.

Becca and Izzy escape and seek help from Gilbert, who reveals he knew about the sisters’ resurrection. He retrieves the spellbook, which begins emitting light, attracting the sisters and leading to their capture.

Winnie decides to perform the dangerous Magicae Maxima spell, needing ingredients including Traske’s blood. Gilbert helps gather these items at the Forbidden Wood, knowing the risky consequences.

The sisters complete the spell, which unexpectedly causes Winnie to become remorseful when she sees her sisters begin to vanish. Desperate, she pleads for the spell to be undone, leading to a spell of reunion that finally sends Winnie to her sisters, vanishing in a heartfelt farewell.

The remaining girls decide to give the spellbook a new home and continue practicing witchcraft. Cassie rejoins her friends, and they reflect on the events, symbolizing a new chapter while hinting at the possible return of the Sanderson sisters.

After the credits, Gilbert’s cat Cobweb notices a box containing a Black Flame Candle, suggesting that the Sanderson sisters may return again, leaving their fate uncertain and opening the possibility for future adventures.
