The Drake’s crew hijacks a school bus and slaughters fourteen children who had befriended hobos. They burst into a TV station and kill the anchorman during a live broadcast to announce a mass purge of the homeless. The violence propagates fear and chaos through the town.

While Abby recovers, The Plague slaughters hospital staff and eventually captures the Hobo to deliver him to The Drake for a public execution. The town’s last glimmer of order collapses as the demons close in on their quarry. The landscape of Hope Town has become a fortress of fear.

Abby arms the crowd, rallies the townspeople, and confronts The Drake. Abby kills Grinder and the Drake is fatally wounded when the Hobo proclaims 'You're riding shotgun' and shoots him. The police open fire on the crowd, sparking a chaotic shootout in which the Hobo dies and Abby’s screams echo through the town.
