Hello Guru Prema Kosame

Sanju Ram Pothineni is a carefree young man in Kakinada whose life revolves around his loving father, his mother Gayathri, and a tight-knit circle of friends. Though he’s stubborn about leaving his hometown, a talk with his parents about chasing a solid IT job nudges him toward Hyderabad. He ends up moving into the home of Viswanath Prakash Raj, Gayathri’s friend, a man known for keeping his word and for the deep choice he once made to honor a promise to a dying friend.

On the train to Hyderabad, Sanju crosses paths with Anupama Anupama Parameswaran and, after an awkward moment when he overhears her putting down Kakinada boys, he unwittingly leaves a memorable impression. Later, he discovers that Anu is Viswanath’s daughter, which means he must share a home with her and start dropping her off at college every morning. At first, Anu harbors a strong dislike for Sanju, but his genuine kindness and unwavering love for his family begin to soften her stance, and a warm friendship slowly forms between them.

Meanwhile, Sanju also finds himself drawn to Reethu, a colleague, and they begin a relationship. As time passes, Anu remains a steady presence in his life, and the bond between them deepens. Yet when Reethu proposes to him, Sanju has a revelation: his feelings for Anu run deeper than friendship, and his heart yearns for her in a way that goes beyond companionship. Just as he prepares to reveal his love, Viswanath arranges Anu’s engagement to Sanju’s friend Karthik, a move that deeply wounds Sanju.

Despite the setback, Viswanath and Sanju grow closer, and Viswanath pledges to stay a true friend to Sanju until he leaves Hyderabad. Sanju gathers the courage to confess his love to Viswanath, who wrestles with a difficult choice: keep his word and guard Anu’s future, or help her find happiness with the man she loves. The tension between duty and desire unfolds against a backdrop of humor, heartfelt moments, and the responsibilities of friendship and family.

In the end, Anu reveals that she, too, has loved Sanju all along and pleads with him to marry her. Viswanath, though initially torn, speaks frankly and encourages them to pursue their happiness together, recognizing that Sanju’s presence would bring joy and stability to Anu’s life. On the day Anu’s wedding is supposed to happen, Viswanath discovers she’s still at home and that Sanju has vanished, choosing to spare his friend any embarrassment. He soon travels to Kakinada with Anu, offering his blessing for their union because he believes Sanju can make Anu happy for the rest of her life.

What follows is a story that blends humor, warmth, and a strong sense of family duty. It explores how love can grow from friendship, how promises shape lives, and how true companionship sometimes means letting the ones you care about choose their own path.
