On Halloween night in 2019, Corey Cunningham is tasked with babysitting a young boy named Jeremy. The evening starts normally, but the lighthearted atmosphere quickly shifts as a prank begins to unfold.

As part of a cruel prank, Jeremy locks Corey inside the attic. Desperately trying to escape, Corey kicks the door open, inadvertently causing Jeremy to fall over the railing and meet his tragic demise.

Following Jeremy's death, Corey is accused of murder, which haunts him deeply. Though he manages to clear his name of manslaughter, the emotional scars of that Halloween night linger on his psyche.

Three years later, Haddonfield remains shaken by the gruesome events of 2018 involving Michael Myers. Laurie Strode, now living a quieter life while writing her memoir, is also trying to find comfort with her granddaughter Allyson.

Corey, working at his stepfather's salvage yard, finds it difficult to move on from his past. His life becomes even more complicated when he has an unsettling encounter with a group of high school bullies who hurt him physically and emotionally.

After witnessing Corey's distress, Laurie steps in and takes him to a doctor's office where Allyson works. This moment of kindness leads to an unexpected bond developing between Corey and Allyson.

Corey and Allyson attend a Halloween party together, which initially seems promising. However, the evening takes a dark turn when Jeremy's mother confronts Corey, leading to a heated argument with Allyson that pushes Corey away.

As Corey leaves the party, he is ambushed by the same bullies from earlier, who throw him off a bridge into a dark sewer. It is here that he has a bizarre encounter with Michael Myers, who spares his life.

With rage and despair boiling inside him, Corey starts spiraling into violence. During a dinner date with Allyson, he takes drastic measures by luring Officer Doug Mulaney into the sewers, where Michael kills him.

As Allyson suffers setbacks at work, Corey's mental state deteriorates further. In a fit of rage upon learning of an affair involving Allyson's doctor, he kills the doctor and lets Michael handle the nurse.

Laurie becomes increasingly suspicious of Corey's intentions towards Allyson. The tension escalates when Corey warns her with a chilling threat, indicating his obsession.

On October 31, Corey dons Michael's mask and embarks on a deadly spree, resulting in the shocking murders of his own stepfather and mother. This unleashes his full descent into madness and chaos.

In a desperate attempt to lure Corey, Laurie stages a suicide, leading to a fierce confrontation. As chaos erupts, Michael shows up, resulting in a fierce battle where both Corey and Michael face their fates.

With Allyson's help, Laurie finally overcomes Michael at the salvage yard. In a powerful symbol of finality, they dispose of Michael's body in an industrial shredder, marking the end of his long reign of terror.

In the aftermath of the chaos, Laurie and Allyson reconcile their differences. Allyson decides to leave Haddonfield behind, while Laurie finds closure by completing her memoir and rekindling a romance with Deputy Hawkins.
