Gori Tere Pyaar Mein

Sriram Venkat, a laid-back young man, comes back to Bangalore after finishing his studies in architecture in the United States. His return marks a new chapter in his life, but he remains self-absorbed and carefree, much to the concern of his father.

Sriram's father decides to take action regarding his son's lifestyle and arranges a marriage for him. The chosen bride is Vasudha, a traditional girl, who hesitates because she secretly loves Kamal, a jobless social worker.

At Jyoshna's brother's wedding in Delhi, Sriram meets Dia Sharma and becomes infatuated with her after a comic incident where she uses his jacket to fake a pregnancy. This moment sets off a chain of events that disrupts his relationship with Jyoshna, who realizes Sriram's interest in Dia.

Six months later, Sriram bumps into Dia again at a mall opening in Bangalore. Dia passionately advocates for local children, impressing Sriram and leading to the rekindling of their relationship amidst their shared commitment to social causes.

As their relationship grows, Sriram feels overwhelmed by Dia's dedication to her social causes. Their contrasting priorities lead to a heated argument where Sriram accuses Dia of hypocrisy, highlighting the strains that social commitment places on their relationship.

After a year together, the mounting pressures culminate in a painful breakup. Sriram walks away from Dia, believing he can move on, but deep down, he is still affected by their split.

As Sriram prepares to marry Vasudha, he comes to realize that he has not truly moved on from his past love, Dia. This realization forces him to confront his feelings just before entering a new commitment.

During the wedding ceremony, Sriram escapes and travels to Jhumli, Gujarat, in search of Dia. He is determined to win her back and promises not to leave without her agreement to return with him, rekindling hope in their relationship.

Upon finding Dia, Sriram faces a challenge when she asks him to build a bridge for the villagers, a project she has long desired. This task symbolizes Sriram's commitment to both Dia and the community.

Sriram seeks funding for the bridge from local politician Kirti Bhai, but issues arise when Kirti Bhai is revealed to be corrupt. This puts Sriram in a precarious position as he fights for the villagers' needs against political greed.

To keep the bridge project alive, Sriram makes the drastic decision to sell valuable land owned by the villagers. This action angers Dia, causing more strain in their relationship and leading to further conflict.

Sriram confronts the local leader Bhavtesh Bhai, who is obstructing the construction due to his personal interests in a proposed factory. This tense standoff highlights the mobilization of the community and challenges Sriram faces.

The tide begins to turn when Bhavtesh's father stands up to his son, inspiring a change of heart in Bhavtesh. This pivotal moment allows Sriram's dreams of building the bridge to move forward.

As the bridge nears completion, Dia learns of Sriram's relentless efforts and begins to forgive him for his earlier mistakes. Their reunion on the bridge symbolizes a fresh start, showcasing their growth and deepening love.

The film concludes with Dia's humorous desire to remain in the village due to a power outage, leading Sriram to comically flee. This light-hearted moment encapsulates the film's tone, leaving the audience with a sense of hope and joy.
