Gangs of Madras

The story opens with a female narrator describing her love story with Ibrahim. Ibrahim works for Mohammad Rowther, a notorious drug lord. Razia hints at the happiness and the tragedy to come as their bond forms.

Ibrahim marries Jaya despite her parents' disapproval. Jaya converts to Islam and adopts the name Razia. The marriage seems to promise happiness, but underlying tensions begin to simmer.

Ibrahim is shot dead in an encounter in front of Razia. Razia suffers a miscarriage as a result of the trauma. She vows revenge and begins to plan how to confront Rowther and his empire.

Abdullah explains that Ibrahim's death was not a random police encounter but a calculated move. He reveals that Hussain, Rowther's younger son, coveted Razia and was warned by his family. Rowther then manipulated events so Hussain could pursue Razia.

Rajendran delivers drugs to a high class rave party. In exchange for a kiss with Janaki, the daughter of a state minister, he hands out extra drugs. The kiss video leaks to the media, and Kareem kills Rajendran in a fit of anger.

Hussain attempts suicide after failing to win Razia. At the hospital, Rowther learns that a police encounter is needed to appease public opinion and the minister. He uses the situation to push Ibrahim against the police, setting up Hussain's path to marry Razia.

Abdullah sends Razia to Mumbai to meet Boxie. Boxie initially treats her coldly but recognizes her resolve. He trains her and brings her into his gang to help kill Rowther and dismantle his empire.

Well trained, Razia lands in Chennai and targets the men tied to Ibrahim's encounter. She kills Kareem and the police officers involved in the fatal encounter. Her actions mark a turning point in her bid for revenge.

Rowther learns of his son's murder and orders Lala Settu and Edison to wipe out those responsible. Settu tricks Boxie by offering to relocate his drug business to Chennai and then kills Boxie and his henchmen.

Razia tracks down Hussain and kills him, removing a major obstacle to her vendetta. With Hussain gone, Rowther's plans begin to unravel, accelerating Razia's final confrontation.

The police catch Razia but then work with her to kill Rowther, who has ministerial protection. As Rowther's drug empire crumbles, Lala Settu and Edison are killed by police. Razia ultimately lets the police shoot her in a climactic end.

In the end credits, the police are praised for their mission. Deputy Commissioner Ramachandran helps Razia's sisters secure jobs in the police department as a reward for the favor Razia did.
