An unexploded bomb, seemingly from WWII, is discovered at a busy construction site in Paddington, prompting a rapid lockdown of the area. The police, led by Chief Superintendent Zuzana Greenfield, cordon off the zone and evacuate civilians—among them Rahim and his parents—to Hyde Park—while the military prepares to intervene. Major Will Tranter and his team are dispatched to defuse the device, aware that any mistake could be catastrophic. The operation takes a sharp turn when Tranter uncovers a timed trigger hidden inside the bomb. Desperate to prevent a catastrophe, the team employs a magnetic device to temporarily disable the timer and, in tandem, works to construct a sturdy wall aimed at containing and softening the blast. The tension climbs with every heartbeat as the clock ticks down, and the team grapples with the clockwork precision of the device itself, not knowing whether the impending explosion will be enough to change the lives of everyone nearby.

Meanwhile, the score of the movie widens its gaze to a dangerous heist in Edgware Road. Karalis, X, Hardeep and Z breach a bank by drilling underneath it, intent on stealing money and jewellery. Their plan unfolds with a cold efficiency as they slip through the shadows while Rahim’s apartment is briefly lit up by a police drone, exposing the group’s heat signature to the surveillance network. The ongoing bomb disposal operation is halted as officers widen their search, and the chase ramps up as the criminals are spotted. The band’s bold move collides with the escalating scrutiny, and the device inside the bomb begins to misbehave, its timer reactivating just as the wall is about to be finished. Yet in a twist of fate, the city narrowly avoids tragedy: the bomb detonates, but crucially, no lives are lost.

The robbers manage to escape in a van headed for a countryside safehouse, where Karalis pulls back the curtain to reveal a stash of uncut diamonds among the loot. In a shocking turn, he double-crosses the others by summoning a crew of armed gangsters who tie up the trio and lock them in a shed. When Karalis discovers the diamonds are fake, the gangsters brutally break his hand and lock him in the trunk of their car, but he manages to broadcast his location via his phone. [X], [Hardeep], and [Z] escape the shed, and, already tracking the signal, catch up, kill the gunmen, and attempt to suffocate Karalis. Just as they close in, Tranter arrives, firing to end the threat and allow Karalis to slip away. The police, meanwhile, piece together the tangled web of involvement: Tranter, Karalis, and Rahim have all become entangled in the diamond heist, and they flee the UK on separate flights rather than face the music.

The trio eventually reunites in Istanbul, where a startling truth comes to light: Tranter was working with Karalis to steal the diamonds. When Karalis’ cover is blown, Tranter sabotages the bomb device to buy them time to escape, and the two of them proceed to arrange for the diamonds to be cut, sold, and the proceeds divided evenly. The uneasy alliance seems complete—until a deeper past resurfaces in a blunt flashback. Ten years earlier in Afghanistan, Karalis was double-crossed by his employer, who kidnapped him; a convoy under threat from IEDs is saved only because Tranter and Rahim provide cover fire while Karalis disarms the remaining mines. The memory hints at a shared history that binds the trio together even as they drift away in separate directions, forever altered by what happened on that crowded city afternoon.

In the end, the film weaves a tense, morally gray chorus of choices, revealing that trust is a fragile currency and that survival often depends on who you can count on when the clock runs out. The explosive incident, the bank heist, and the Afghanistan flashback converge to paint a portrait of characters who blur the lines between heroism and betrayal, leaving the viewer with a complicated question about loyalty, consequence, and what it means to walk away with a fortune that might be a trap in disguise.
