Frozen

King Agnarr recounts how Runeard forged a treaty with the Northuldra by building a dam in their homeland. A fight erupts, Runeard dies, and the forest's elements awaken in anger. A wall of mist traps everyone in the Enchanted Forest, and Agnarr barely escapes with the help of an unknown savior.

Three years after her coronation, Elsa hears a mysterious voice calling to her one autumn night. She follows it and unintentionally awakens the elemental spirits, forcing the kingdom to evacuate. Grand Pabbie and the trolls urge them to uncover the truth in the Enchanted Forest.

The mist parts at Elsa's touch and the air spirit appears as a tornado. Elsa stops it by turning the vortex into ice sculptures that reveal memories from their father's past. She also befriends the fire spirit, a restless magical salamander.

Elsa and Anna encounter Northuldra and Arendellian soldiers who remain in conflict. They work toward a truce and uncover that their mother, Queen Iduna, was Northuldran and had saved Agnarr, linking their fates in a deeper history.

Kristoff and Sven stay with the Northuldra while Elsa, Anna, and Olaf head north to uncover the truth. They discover their parents' wrecked ship and a map to Ahtohallan, and Elsa decides to continue alone, sending Anna and Olaf to safety. She meets the Nøkk, the water spirit guarding the way to Ahtohallan.

Inside Ahtohallan, Elsa learns the voice is a memory of young Iduna and realizes her powers are a gift from nature due to Iduna's selfless saving of Agnarr. The revelation reframes her abilities as a bridge to the living magic around them.

Elsa discovers that the dam was built to curb Northuldra resources and magic, a ploy rooted in Runeard's contempt. She uncovers that Runeard murdered the Northuldra leader, igniting the long-running conflict.

Before freezing solid, Elsa relays the dam's truth to Anna. The revelation coincides with Olaf fading away as the magic that sustained him begins to wane.

Anna resolves that the dam must be destroyed to restore peace. She awakens the earth spirit Jötunn and lures it toward the dam. The rock giants hurl boulders, destroying the dam and sending a flood toward Arendelle.

Elsa breaks free, thaws, and rides the Nøkk back to Arendelle. She uses her powers to freeze the flood and save the kingdom from disaster.

As the mist clears, Elsa reunites with Anna and revives Olaf. Kristoff proposes to Anna, signaling a new chapter of peace between the sisters and their friends.

Elsa explains to Anna that she herself is the fifth spirit, the bridge between people and the magical world. This bond redefines their relationship and the future of Arendelle and the Enchanted Forest.

Elsa abdicates the throne to Anna and becomes the guardian of the Enchanted Forest, ensuring peace between the two realms. She visits Arendelle regularly as the forest's protector.

In a light-hearted post-credits scene, Olaf visits Elsa's ice palace and recounts the events to Marshmallow and the Snowgies, adding humor to the finale.
