Fistful of Vengeance

Kai manages to defeat Pan Gu, the mad god who was threatening to reshape the world in his own image, in a final fierce battle at the archaeological site where Pan Gu was originally created from the split of the first Wu Assassin. Despite losing much of his power, Pan Gu is ultimately killed when Kai’s team manages to destroy him. As the dust settles, Pan Gu is cast back into hell or the underworld, preventing him from threatening the world again. However, the talisman that contains part of Pan Gu’s essence remains around William Pan’s neck, suggesting that there is a possibility of Pan Gu’s return in the future. The film hints that Kai’s next challenge might involve confronting a necromancer or a more powerful Jiangshi—creatures linked to dark magic and the undead.

Throughout the film, a recurring element is the connection between the talisman, Pan Gu, and Jiangshis, implying that these mystical forces and creatures are interconnected. The ending leaves this open for future stories, teasing that new threats rooted in necromancy or dark magic may be on the horizon for Kai. Although the movie struggles with delivering compelling action and storytelling, it clearly establishes that the fight against dark supernatural forces is far from over, setting up potential new adventures for the Wu Assassin.
