Crysta, a spirited fairy, lives in the magical paradise of FernGully, a rainforest untouched by human pollution. Intrigued by tales of old when humans and fairies coexisted, her adventurous nature drives her to explore the forest.

Tension rises as Zak keeps a crucial secret about human intentions in FernGully hidden from Crysta. His supervisors, Tony and Ralph, unknowingly let Hexxus loose, creating a looming threat for the rainforest.
