Exiled

In 1998 Macau, Wo, a former mobster, lives quietly with his wife Jin and their newborn child, trying to put his violent past behind him. His peace is shattered when Boss Fay, a vengeful mob boss whom Wo once tried to assassinate, dispatches two aging hitmen to end Wo's quiet life.

Fay's hit squad closes in on Wo and the danger escalates quickly. Wo's childhood friends Blaze, Fat, Tai, and Cat return to protect him, rekindling old loyalties and drawing the family back into danger. The family is dragged back toward violence they hoped to avoid.

The reunited crew sits with fixer Jeff, who assigns them a double job: kill rival Boss Keung and locate a large stash of gold. They agree to take on the mission and promise to look after Jin if anything happens to Wo. The plan reopens old wounds as they prepare to dive back into danger.

The gang locates Boss Keung in a restaurant and is interrupted by Boss Fay, who humiliates Blaze for not killing Wo and shoots him. Blaze survives thanks to a bulletproof vest, and Wo fires in retaliation, triggering a chaotic shootout. The bosses strike a fragile agreement to share territory while vowing to eliminate Wo's gang.

Wounded, Wo is taken to an underground clinic for treatment. The doctor operates and removes the bullets while Fay and Keung arrive, seeking help for their injuries. Fat and the others fight off the intruders and keep Wo alive long enough for rescue.

During the ensuing chaos, Fay throws Wo from a high window as the friends scramble to regroup. Fat drags Wo to safety under a tarpaulin, but Wo dies shortly after. The group is left to mourn as the violence closes in around them.

Back in the city, Jin's fury drives her to hunt down the surviving friends until Jeff recognizes her and informs Boss Fay. Fay starts laying plans to capture Jin as part of a larger score against the group. The conflict widens beyond Wo’s death.

The remaining gang members leave the city in search of the rumored gold, seeking a way to secure a future beyond Macau. The lure of wealth shifts their focus from revenge to survival through capital. They push forward despite the costs they've already paid.

On the long road, they come upon a heavily guarded gold convoy and flip a coin to decide whether to hijack it. The coin comes up tails, so they decide against the hijack for now. The choice underscores the tenuous balance between risk and loyalty.

A rival gang ambushes the convoy, and the friends join a crack-shot officer named Richie Jen to wipe out the attackers. Impressed by his sharpshooting, they agree to split the gold with him and press on toward a dock to move it to the mainland.

The group escorts the officer to a hidden dock to transfer the gold and begin a new life on the mainland. They leave the city behind as their fortunes edge toward a fresh start. The plan is to vanish and live free of their former lives.

Back in Macau, Jin's fury drives her to hunt down the surviving friends until Jeff recognizes her and informs Boss Fay. Fay starts laying plans to capture Jin as part of a larger score against the group. The conflict widens beyond Wo’s death.

Fay captures Jin and orders Blaze to meet at midnight, threatening Jin and her son if the friends disobey. Blaze is forced to attend under the threat of his own life. The night closes in as old loyalties collide with hurt and vengeance.

Tai informs Jin of the boat and the policeman guarding it, telling her to drive there for safety. The four friends confront Jin at the meeting place, Blaze taking another chest wound but surviving thanks to his vest. Tai reveals the plan for Jin to reach the boat while they face the consequences.

In the final showdown, the four friends, Fay, and Keung unleash a brutal gunfight. Blaze is killed, Fay and Keung are killed, and the remaining friends fall as well. Jin escapes toward the boat, while the others smile through their deaths, knowing they kept Wo's promise to look after his family.
