Amid World War I’s transformation of Ottoman lands into a battlefield, a passionate love blooms in southeastern Anatolia and Syria. Mahmut abandons his home and beloved rather than commit murder, then is swept into the relentless war, fighting for liberation. Years later he returns to reunite with lost love and avenge the injustice broke his life.
